New DAR Chapter Blog in North Carolina

Just about the time I think there is actually some spare time for extra genealogy, archive work, other hobbies, or just plain "nothng," I come up with a new project. Now is no exception.

In 2012, I was accepted as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution - something I had put off for many years, much to the disdain of family and DAR friends. At their insistence, I stuck with it, and I've never looked back. And of course the "told ya so" from one and all, remains an ongoing joke.

In recent days, among my many activities (and three other blogs) I began a blog for our chapter, Archibald D. Murphey. We're a small group compared to other chapters in large cities. However, we are a lively and enthused group of ladies, with a look to the future.

Please take a look at the new blog - and I invite you to check often, as I will be updating it regularly.
